Anyone can call themselves a tree surgeon (arborist), place an advert in the Yellow Pages and offer a service.

An advert alone does not guarantee quality of work, or that it will be carried out safely.

If work is not done properly, it could lead to:

• Injury to people,
• Damage to property,
• Irrevocable damage to your trees that have taken so many years to grow,

...all through ill-advised and badly executed tree work.

Tree work operations (arboriculture) require a high degree of technical competance, supported by training and experience.  For these reasons tree work should only be undertaken by well trained, competant arborists.

B & B Tree Specialists are members of the Arboricultural Association, the professional body for arborists in the UK.  This means that we are regularly assessed for our health and safety procedures, office and business practices, as well as the quality of our work.  In addition to this, we now have approval status of the UK Consumer Protection Agency to further assure customers of our professional reputation.

• Evidence of Employers Liability & Public Liability insurance of £10 million.
• Work to British Standards BS 3998.
• Fully qualified staff, including NPTC certificates for chainsaw use, and certificates for other skills and machines, as well as National Certificates and Diplomas In Arboricultural knowlege.
• Full written quotations, including clear and full details of the work to be undertaken, details of what will happen to the debris, who will be responsible for obtaining permissions (if trees are protected), and what steps will be taken to protect you and your property.
• Membership of the Arboricultural Association license number AC1008.
• Fully Licenced for waste carriage and disposal of green waste.
• Referees who can show you some of our work.
